The 2026 Welsh Wander was a great success with glowing reviews from all who attended and it’s running once more in 2027 based again at the 4-star Metropole Hotel in the picturesque welsh Victorian spa town of Llandrindod Wells.
The tour takes in the splendour of the Elan Valley lakes and dams as well as visiting the second-hand book mecca of Hay-on-Wye. The concept is for a leisurely relaxed tour with varying attractions & driving routes designed to be mostly on scenic back roads with spectacular views.
The cost is just £395 per person based on two people sharing, and includes three nights' dinner, bed and breakfast with route instructions, lunches Saturday and Sunday, use of indoor heated swimming pool, entry to Gigrin Farm to view hundreds of red kites feeding (a highlight this year was the rare albino!), entry to National Cycle Museum, detailed road book and the presence of the organiser throughout to deal with any queries or special requests, plus lots more!
